Als bequeme Eintagestour des Gommer Höhenweges bietet sich die Teilstrecke von Münster nach Bellwald an.

Blumen, die man sonst nur in Büchern sieht, säumen den Weg. Unten im Tal liegen sonnengebrannte Dörfer und verträumte Weiler. Ohne ein einziges Mal eine Strasse zu queren, verläuft die Route entlang der Sonnenseite des Hochtals, zwischen Münster und Bellwald.

To the north, the hike on the ridge offers an incredible view of the great Aletsch glacier and the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site. To the south is a stunning view of the Rhone valley, the Binntal (valley), and the mountains of the Valaisian Alps. This hike from the Bettmerhorn gondola top station to the Eggishorn top station takes approximately 3 hours. From the top station, you can take the fixed-rope route and arrive at the peak of the Bettmerhorn (summit cross) in about 30 minutes. The trail secured with climbing aids where appropriate, continues from here about 1.5 km (0.93 miles) along the ridge until its end. There, you cross a steep step (there are fixed ropes to hold on to) down to Elselücke. From Elselücke, you walk along a nice, wide hiking trail for about 45 minutes until you reach the Eggishorn top station, or you can continue straight back to Fiescheralp and the Bettmeralp starting point. The UNESCO World Heritage high trail is an alpine hike (signposted blue-white-blue) designated only for experienced and sure-footed hikers who have no problems with heights. It is advised that you not depart from the signposted trail from the Bettmerhorn ridge to Elselücke. Top-level hiking. Round-trip ticket available for the Bettmerhorn high trail to Eggishorn route.

Start in Crans-Montana vom Sonnenplateau auf 1500 Meter über Meer. Die Wanderung führt auf einem Teil des Weges, der früher von den Bewohnern und vom Vieh für die alpine Stufenwirtschaft benutzt wurde, nach Leukerbad. Der grössten Thermalbadeanstalt Europas, die von einer beeindruckenden Bergwelt umrahmt ist. Weiter überqueren wir den Lötschenpass, den ältesten Übergang zwischen Wallis und Bern. Die herrliche Aussicht auf die Walliser Viertausender entlohnt sie für den strengen Aufstieg.
Die Lötschenpasshütte liegt in einem geologisch sehr interessanten Gebiet, bietet aber auch dem Blumen- und Tierfreund aussergewöhnliche Momente. In der kargen Umgebung der Hütte suchen sich oft ganze Rudel von Steinböcken die saftigsten Kräuter.
Ein beschilderter Weg "Ruths Fyrabewäg" führt in zirka einer Stunde rund um die Hütte. Nächste Station ist die Gfelalp im Gasteretal, mit herrlichem Blick auf den Kanderfirngletscher und auf ein wildromatisches Hochtal.Weiter führt der Weg nach Kandersteg mit Besichtigung der Dorfkirche aus dem 16. Jhr. und dem berühmten Wasserfall.
Die Route führt weiter nach Adelboden mit seinem Heimatmuseum, das über Brauchtum und Leben im Engstligental erzählt.
Weiter geht's über den Bühlberg zum Lenksee und Lenk. Hier können Sie mit der Dampfeisenbahn "Strubeli" die Nostalgie erleben. Auf einer Schienenlänge von 600m tuckert "Strubeli" dem gleichnamigen Bergmassiv entgegen. Der Weg führt weiter am Iffigfall, dem schönsten Wasserfall des Berner Oberlandes vorbei, über den Rawilpass und hinunter zum Barrage de Tseusier. Der Stausee mit seiner 156m hohen Staumauer. Über die Bisse du Ro, eine aus dem 14 Jhr stammende Suone, Bewässerungsanlage für Alpwiesen, kehrt man nach Crans-Montana zurück.
